Wreck-It-Ralph Movie Review

Hey everyone! Sorry this was posted so much later than the video, I thought I had submitted this but either I forgot to press the “Publish” button or it didn’t work because I came back to publish a new post and this was saved as a draft. I’ll  get started with the original post now 🙂

So, as you can see I liked this movie quite a bit. The video is fifteen minutes long [I am sorry…I am so sorry. *Bonus points if you correctly guess what/who I’m quoting*] and says it all. For those of you who’d rather read for a couple of minutes than watch a video for fifteen, I’ll briefly go over the video’s content.

The first half of the video I gave the plot summary of the Pixar short “Paper Man” that played before the movie. It’s about love at first sight between a man and woman in a speechless, black and white world where the only color is in the girl’s lipstick. They separate and when the man sees her in a building across the street, he throws paper airplanes at her until he runs out of paper. She leaves her building, he follows, and loses her. The paper airplanes then come alive and lead them to each other. Aww, what a sweetly predictable ending 🙂

The rest of the video is about Wreck-It-Ralph a.k.a “the man who hated his job and decided to change it instead of whining about it forever”. That didn’t exactly go according to plan, but I’ve come to notice that things rarely do in movies. Anyway I just mentioned that I thought it was funny, it was full of puns, I loved Jane Lynch’s character and Fix-It-Felix Jr., found Vannelope’s voice and sense of humor irritating. I’m pretty sure that’s it, unless you count my tangents. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the video and this video summary. See you next time 🙂

Politics is Important [What a Shock]

Hello everyone and welcome to my first non-kpop related video haha. Well, I pretty much said it all in the video but I was cut-off while talking because my memory card ran out of space [which is why the ending is so abrubt] and a few things that I wanted to say  weren’t filmed, so I guess that I’ll say them here.

I believe that choosing not to vote is stupid because voting is one of the only ways that the average person can contribute to what goes on in their government. Pretty much everything is handled by the three branches of government and the only way for people to have some semblance of control over what happens in their country is for them to help choose who represents them. Also, if you don’t vote then I’m sorry, but you’ve pretty much lost all right to complain about those in power. If you decide not to vote then you shouldn’t whine when the president doesn’t do what you want him [or maybe her someday] to do. Even if the person you voted for doesn’t win then at least you can rest easy knowing that you did literally all that you could to try to do the best for your country. And really, that’s all anyone can ask of you.

P.S. I know Halo 4 comes out the same day as the elections [November 6] and believe me, if I was 18, I’d have serious trouble dragging myself away from my Xbox to vote, but it doesn’t take too long and every vote makes a difference; so go out and do our country proud 🙂

P.P.S. At first, I thought that saying “politics is” sounded wrong because of the plural/non plural confusion but I looked it up to be sure and it turns out that saying “politics is” is fine, depending on the situation. I’m using it as the subject of politics instead of a factor within politics. It’s like with statistics: ‘statistics is very interesting’ works because it’s in reference to the subject but ‘these statistics are very interesting’ also works because it refers to statistical data. I thought some people might want to bring the grammar hammer down on me so this is just a little fyi.

Anyway, see you guys next time; I’ll try to post more frequently! 🙂

Freakishly Huge Eyes

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share this adorable puppy with you guys. I obviously filmed this around a week ago since that’s when I filmed the second part of my kpop reactions, but this was done on my phone. It wouldn’t upload from my phone so I had to go out and get a MicroSD chip to transfer it to my computer, so that’s why it took so long. I was babysitting and they had a dog at their house for a couple of days and her eyes are crazy! She’s adorable but I couldn’t help laugh when I saw her bugged out eyes. i think they were designed for a larger breed. Anyway, hope this made you smile even if it wasn’t all that eventful 🙂

P.S. There’s another video of dogs coming up soon, but this time they’re mine. Sorry guys, I promise I’ll do a tag video or something next so there’s some actual substance on this blog 🙂

P.P.S. I have no idea why the video and audio are out of sync. It’s not like I added the audio in later or anything but oh well, stuff happens.

Introducing: MsKassarole!

Welcome to my vlog! I don’t know if finally seeing what I look and sound like is a suprise or disappointment, but this is me. I finally got around to making a video, even though I created the channel for it last month [talk about counting your chickens before they hatch]. I know this is just an intro and nothing special but I felt like I want you guys to know a little bit about me before I jump into my vlog [I did the same when I first started this blog] so there you go. I guess I’ll explain things a bit further, starting with my interests.

Books:

I love to read, I always have and I always will. The types of books that I read vary, but they all tend to center around the supernatural. I’ve enjoyed books about fairies, vampires [no, I don’t like Twilight…anymore. Don’t judge me, I cringe at the memories of my former obsession], werewolves, mutants, elves, fallen angels, the list goes on and on. However, I’ve also read my fair share of what I like to call ‘shallow books’. A few book series that fall under this list would be The Clique, A-List, and Gossip Girl novels. You know, books about snobby rich girls who spend the entire book series whining about their frivolous problems. Entertaining? Yes. Important to the big picture that is life? No, but who cares?

Movies:

Watching movies is probably my favorite way to spend a lazy day. I like all types of genres for movies too: romantic comedies, thriller, gore, comedy, action, pretty much anything but horror. I don’t watch those, I hide behind a pillow and scream bloody murder. I’ve watched movies of all sorts from around the 70s or 80s to now. The 80s are my favorite time period for movies, probably because the 80s are my favorite time period in general. Oh what I would give to have been a young adult in the 80s. -sigh-

Asia:

Okay, I am fascinated by Asia, mainly Japan [for its manga and anime] and South Korea [for its everything]. A few manga that I have read are Kitchen Princess, Hollow Fields, Fruits Basket, Chibi Vampire, Black Cat, Godchild and many more. I’ve seen less anime than I’ve read manga, but I have seen Ouran High School Host Club, Clannad, Chobits, Vampire Knight,  Black Butler and probably a couple of more that I’m forgetting. As for South Korea, I can’t get enough kpop or kdramas. My best friend got me into kpop in 2009 with 2NE1’s “Fire”. Ever since that song I’ve been spiralling deeper and deeper into an unhealthy obsession with kpop and all that relates to the country. I’ll do a video or two with my favorite kpop groups and kdramas.

So that’s it with my interests, if you share one with me and want to discuss it, or suggest something you think I might like, I could then review it and maybe give you a little shout out for the help.

As I said in the video, this is an ‘everything under the sun’ vlog and I’ll end up talking about anything that I think of; not just beauty, fashion, cooking, health and fitness, DIY projects etc. I’m a free spirit and I’ll just see where the winds of my mind take me. Also, I know that if I create a schedule, I won’t stick to it so I’m not even going to try. Sorry, I’m just not that organized.

So that concludes this video. If you have any suggestions about videos you’d like to see or anything you’d want me to discuss, leave me a comment and I’ll see what I can do. Thank you so much for watching and reading this, I hope we can have a lot of fun together!

[p.s. sorry for the abrubt ending, I was trying to edit out when I turned off the camera and that’s the smoothest I could get the ending. I’ll get better, promise.]

I’m a Terrible Blogger

How many months has it been since my last post? I don’t know and I really don’t want to look, but I know that it’s been a while. I’ll tell you why I haven’t updated in so long, and I’m aware that it isn’t much of an excuse, but I’m a student and as many of you may know or remember, the last few months of the school year can be stressful and time-consuming. [I spent practically no time with friends and family, so you can see how my blog would also suffer]. Not that I was a great blogger before, but I just have a short attention span and a lack of ideas. Not much happens here in Small-town, USA [not actually where I live, by the way. I don’t know if that’s a real city, but that would be pretty cool if it is]. Now if I still lived in Southern California, I might have more to blog about. Still, I think sitting down and actually writing the blog post might be one of the hardest things for me to do, next to finding ideas. So, I was thinking of starting a vlog to accompany this blog. I don’t know if it would work or if I’d even like it, but I might still give it a try. If anyone has any opinions or comment to make on the idea of vlogging and whether you like the idea or believe that blogging is better, or if you have some anecdotes or personal experiences that you’d like to share, feel free to leave a comment; I’m always listening. Oh, and now that it’s summer I should be able to blog more with my hours of freedom. Thanks for reading, and I hope that everyone has a wonderful day.
